Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (“Falko”), the world’s largest asset manager and aircraft lessor focused solely on the regional aircraft sector, is pleased to announce the acquisition of four (4) CRJ900 aircraft on lease to Air Canada. The aircraft have been acquired by Falko from global alternative investment manager Castlelake on behalf of Falko’s managed fund, Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II (“Fund II”).

Mark Hughes, Falko’s Chief Commercial Officer commented, “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of four CRJ900 aircraft on lease to Canadian flag carrier, Air Canada from Castlelake.”

Mark Hughes continues, “The acquisition adds another four CRJ900 aircraft to Falko’s fleet as well as enhancing Falko’s North American presence. Both the US and Canada are core markets for regional aircraft with the CRJ900 aircraft type being the regional jet of choice for many North American operators due to its scope clause compliance. The four aircraft have been acquired by Fund II, Falko’s second regional aircraft fund which is now invested in 79 aircraft since inception. Air Canada is an existing Falko customer but a new customer for Fund II, enhancing the Fund’s diversification with a highly rated carrier operating in a good jurisdiction.”
