EVA signs TrueChoice agreement with GE Aviation
EVA Airways signed a 12-year TrueChoice Flight Hour agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its CF6-80E1 engines that power its 12 Airbus A330 aircraft. The agreement is valued at about $400 million (USD) over the life of the contract.
"We appreciate EVA's trust in us to support the CF6 engine fleet. Through GE's TrueChoice agreements, we will ensure EVA's CF6-80E1 engines receive the high quality OEM maintenance, repair and overhaul services to keep them flying long into the future," said Jean Lydon-Rodgers, president and chief executive officer of GE Aviation's Services organization.
EVA Airways is the second largest airline in Taiwan, with a current fleet of about 80 aircraft comprising passenger and cargo airplanes, including the Boeing 747, 777, MD-11 and Airbus A330 and A321.
EVA is a part of the Evergreen Group and serves an international network of business and leisure destinations throughout North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia, including every region of Mainland China.

TrueChoice Transitions includes a range of options for changing ownership horizons, such as green time leases, exchanges and material buy-back, plus customized workscopes with shorter builds and maximum used material. For lessors, GE offers products specifically designed to accommodate a change in owner or operator.
Each of the TrueChoice offerings is underpinned by GE Aviation's data and analytic capabilities and experience to help reduce maintenance burden and service disruptions for customers.
