TAIPEI, TAIWAN (November 1, 2018) –EVA Air took its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Taipei to Hong Kong for its maiden flight today (on November 1, 2018). The airline and hundreds of travelers, including aviation enthusiasts, celebrated the carrier’s new plane with a special launch event at Taoyuan International Airport where passengers were invited to take selfies and keepsake photos in front of a Dreamliner-themed banner and share smiles with family and social media friends before boarding. Travelers can check EVA’s schedule, book flights and select seats on the busy Taipei-Hong Kong route in addition to the airline’s services to countless other destinations throughout Asia, Mainland China and worldwide at www.evaair.com.
EVA created a special departure lounge banner, built around its new commercial film, “The Smile in the Sky,” and gave passengers Dreamliner-themed fan signs to include in photos with travel companions and memorialize travel on the aircraft’s maiden flight. The carrier followed up by inviting passengers to share their smiling images for a photo montage, showing the Dreamliner inflight.
“Our addition of Boeing 787 Dreamliners equips EVA to expand our service capacity and gives us more flexibility in fleet deployment.” said EVA President Clay Sun.
