Ethiopian Airlines plans to take a 20% stake in Eritrean Airlines, for an undisclosed sum, following recent talks between the two governments to rebuild ties after almost 20 years.

Ethiopian will also resume service to Asmara, Eritrea in July 2018.

Also, Ethiopian Cargo will reportedly sign a joint venture with Germany's DHL, with Ethiopian owning a 51% stake and DHL 49%.

Ethiopian Cargo operates six B777 and two B757 freighters, with two B737-800 freighters on the way.
