During the first half of 2019 the largest narrow-body ACMI operator in the world Avion Express expanded its fleet and increased production results.

This summer the company is operating 22 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The current fleet is the biggest in the history of Avion Express. During the summer season 2019 Avion Express is providing ACMI services to Onur Air, SunExpress and Thomas Cook Airlines. The company’s subsidiary airline Avion Express Malta is operating for Norwegian.

Avion Express demonstrated an over 5% year-on-year growth in production in the first half of 2019. The company flew almost 23,000 block hours in H1 2019, thus setting a new bar for its production achievements. Adding to this, in June 2019 Avion Express reached its daily production record of over 300 block hours flown in one day.

“Every year we are concentrating on providing quality ACMI services to our clients. Compared to the previous high season when we had 18 Airbus A320 family aircraft in our fleet, we grew the number of aircraft to 22 this year. This growth was influenced by multiple factors, including the global grounding of Boeing 737 MAX fleet,” says Avion Express CEO Darius Kajokas. “Using the opportunity, I would like to thank our clients for the trust they show us by choosing our services and also heartily thank our team which demonstrated great spirit and efforts in order to make the current fleet size and H1 2019 production figures a reality,” he added.

Avion Express is the largest narrow-body ACMI operator in the world successfully working with clients in Europe, Africa, South America, Asia-Pacific. In 2019 the airline is operating 22 Airbus A320 family aircraft. To strengthen its position as the market leader, in 2019 Avion Express established Avion Express Malta, a subsidiary airline based in Malta that operates Airbus A320 aircraft fleet. Avion Express was awarded ACMI Operator of the Year 2019 at Air Transport Awards by International Business News.
