05 June 2018: Direct Maintenance has received regulatory approval to perform line maintenance activities, including Certification of Release to Service under EASA Part-145, on the latest B737 variant called the "B737 MAX". This aircraft family is formally known as the B737-7, B737-8 and B737-9, all powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines. Also our Dublin (DUB) line station in Ireland has started to support the MAX.

Roger Meels, Director Sales & Marketing, comments: "With more than 4500 orders from over 97 airlines, it is clear the B737 MAX is going to play a significant role in the future. Direct Maintenance are pleased to now also offer line maintenance support to this latest B737 variant, following a significant investment in training. As next step we will gradually roll out the MAX capability to more line stations, following the initial readiness campaigns in both Dublin (DUB) and Berlin (TXL), on request of our launching customers."
