Deucalion Aviation Limited ("Deucalion"), an innovative global platform with world-class aviation expertise in investment and asset management services, is pleased to announce that it has strengthened its senior Executive Team and concluded additional senior industry hires.
Diarmuid Hogan is joining Deucalion as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Lewis Sutherland is promoted to the position of Chief Commercial Officer; both will take up positions on Deucalion’s Executive Committee.
After over 18 years with the team, Deucalion’s current CFO, Mark Jackson, is retiring and we thank him not only for his strong financial stewardship of our business but also for the very significant contribution that he has made to the growth and development of this business since joining in 2004. His replacement, Diarmuid Hogan brings a wealth of experience to Deucalion, with nearly three decades of expertise in the aircraft leasing industry. Having previously worked as Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital Aviation Services, Diarmuid’s knowledge and management skills will be key strengths in the next phase of Deucalion’s growth. His appointment as CFO continues Deucalion’s dedication to effective financial management and strategic decision-making. Diarmuid said:
I am delighted to join Deucalion Aviation and be part of such a well-respected, experienced team. I am excited for the future of the business and look forward to contributing to the growth of the platform.
Lewis Sutherland, who has been with Deucalion as the Head of Asia, has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. Lewis’s outstanding contributions to expanding Deucalion’s global investment and aircraft management efforts have been recognised, leading to his elevation to this key leadership role. He will now relocate to London and drive new origination business for Deucalion’s shareholder SVP Global and our investor clients.
In addition, we are pleased to welcome two experienced aviation members to the team. Jeff Lewis joins Deucalion as Senior Vice President of Origination, from FTAI Aviation where he held the position of Head of Aircraft Leasing. Jeff brings over 20 years of aviation experience to the team, his expertise in engine trading and leasing and his extensive industry relationships make him a valuable addition to Deucalion’s origination efforts and portfolio expansion.
Nick Moore will join us on July, 1 as SVP Commercial, he will be based in Singapore and will focus on Deucalion’s operations in the Asia Pacific region. Nick has over twenty years of aviation experience and previously spent six years in Singapore as the Head of Aviation Asset Management, Asia for DVB Bank. Asia Pacific is a critical region for Deucalion, with over 25% of our managed aircraft fleet operating in the region. Adding Nick, a highly respected aviation professional, to the team will further enhance our commitment to airlines and investor clients.
These strategic changes to the team come as Deucalion looks to capitalise on a market opportunity characterized by strong airline recovery in a high passenger demand environment, a very challenging supply picture, continuing geopolitical concerns and macro-economic uncertainties.
Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer Stephan Sayre added:
We are thrilled with these new additions to our team. With the significant support and ambition of our shareholder SVPGlobal, the unusual characteristics of today’s aviation market presents us with a broad array of opportunities for capital deployment. Diarmuid, Lewis, Jeff and Nick bring skills, knowledge and experience to further enhance our ambition to be the preeminent investment and aircraft management platform.
