- Builds on services previously available under the Smart Parts program
Toronto, April 22, 2020 – De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (“De Havilland Canada”) announced today that the De Havilland Component Solutions (DCS) program is now available to provide component management support to Dash 8-400 aircraft operators. Building on the services previously available under the Smart Parts program, the DCS program will minimize aircraft life cycle costs and provide optimized supply chain solutions, guaranteed service levels and fixed cost-per-flight-hour commitments.
“As the OEM, De Havilland Canada has a vested interest in the optimal use of our Dash 8 aircraft and in the success of our customers’ operations,” said Todd Young, Chief Operating Officer, De Havilland Canada. “Cost-per-flight-hour contracts and reduced, up-front capital expenses available through the DCS program help our customers by providing predictable costs and cash flows to simplify aircraft operations. Our customers also benefit from De Havilland Canada’s expertise in warranty administration, planning and supplier management, in addition to the support of De Havilland Canada’s technical team.
“As a single-channel provider of component management solutions, we allow operators to focus on their core business,” added Mr. Young.
The DCS program ensures cost-effective repair solutions and global accessibility to over a thousand different aircraft components positioned at strategically located distribution centers. The program can be tailored to accommodate each customer’s requirements and environment including the availability of on-site component leases at customers’ preferred bases and is designed to meet the growing demand for customized repair solutions. More than 130 Dash 8 Series aircraft are enrolled in the program.
