DC Aviation Announces Sale of its Foundation Airbus and its Continued Operation for the New Owner
Stuttgart, July 4, 2017: DC Aviation, headquartered in Stuttgart, announces that it sold its „foundation aircraft“, an Airbus A319 CJ, with which it originally started its operation, and that it will continue to operate and maintain the aircraft for the new owner.
From 1999 through 2008 DC Aviation was a subsidiary of the DaimlerChrysler AG managing the regular shuttle traffic between the two corporate headquarters, Stuttgart and Detroit. During this time alone, DC Aviation performed approximately 30,000 flight hours with this aircraft. And subsequently, the aircraft was continuously operated and maintained.
Michael Kuhn, CEO of the DC Aviation Group, says: "We are very happy about this renewed demonstration of customer confidence and trust in our aircraft management capabilities. With 18 years of experience particularly with this type of aircraft, we would seem to be optimally qualified to continue to operate and maintain it.“
The Airbus A319 CJ is equipped with premium seating for 48 passengers. The generous seat spacing of 152 centimeters makes for a relaxed travel experience on long-distance and night flights. Adjustable head, foot, and leg support provides optimal comfort in a supine position. A range of 6,600 km permits non-stop flights between e.g. London and Washington, Paris and Delhi, Moscow and Shanghai without any problems.
