Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a daughter company of the Czech Aeroholding Group which provides aircraft maintenance services, has entered into a Base Maintenance Agreement with Transavia. The Agreement was entered into for five years, until September 2022. CSAT will thus become the exclusive provider of Boeing 737NG aircraft maintenance.
Czech Airlines Technics has provided Transavia with its services before. CSAT employees serviced the first Transavia aircraft in 2003. “At the moment, a four-year contract, valid until August 2017, is about to expire. The current contract is not exclusive. Despite that, CSAT was awarded 100% of all scheduled aircraft maintenance jobs during the last two seasons, i.e. 2015/2016 and 2016/2017,” said Pavel Haleš, Chairman of the Czech Airlines Technics Board of Directors.
“Compared to the original contract, the new contract establishes CSAT as an exclusive and preferred aircraft maintenance provider for the Transavia Airlines fleet with guaranteed work volumes. We expect to provide base maintenance for about 18 aircraft per season. The exact numbers will be specified at a later date. The season starts in September or October,” added Haleš.
CSAT specialists will provide base maintenance for Transavia’s entire fleet. The base maintenance agreement governs both the complex performance of all planned revisions and occasional irregular tasks, such as fixing defects and repairing damage to aircraft bodies.
Together with Czech Airlines, Germania, Neos and Travel Service and others, Transavia is key CSAT base maintenance customer. In 2016 alone, CSAT workers performed over 100 base maintenance jobs for all its customers combined.
