On Monday, 18 May 2020, Czech Airlines, a member of the Smartwings Group, plans to resume operations on its routes between Prague and selected cities after over a month and a half of temporary disruption to services. Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris and Stockholm are among the first destinations to which aircraft will head from Prague this month. Effective 24 May 2020, the carrier plans to resume operations on its Kyiv route, with Odessa flights to follow the next day, provided mandatory quarantine restrictions are terminated in Ukraine, as currently scheduled. On 25 May 2020, flights to Bucharest, Romania, will also resume.

The gradual renewal of operations on routes is performed in accordance with the rules and regulations in place and the easing of currently valid restrictions in the respective countries. As a result, there may be additional changes to the flight schedule.

Tickets for both May and June as well as later dates to additional destinations may already be booked.

Concurrently, the Smartwings Group, is applying measures aboard its aircraft to ensure flying remains safe during the time of coronavirus. The most significant actions include the obligation of passengers to cover their nose and mouth with sufficient protective gear (face mask) prior to boarding the aircraft and throughout the flight, social distancing (maintaining a two-metre gap between passengers during boarding and disembarking the aircraft) and contactless payments for purchases of in-flight refreshments. Strict hygienic standards are followed aboard aircraft. The interiors undergo a thorough disinfection process before and after each flight according to the strictest hygienic rules and regulations, including seats, tray tables, seat pockets, overhead lockers and lavatories.
