ERA (European Regions Airline Association*) is delighted to announce its three new board members; Jasmin Bajić, Croatia Airlines, and Valter Fernandes, TAP express operated by Portugália Airlines, representing regular airline members, and Patrick Edmond, Shannon Airport as an airport representative. Montserrat Barriga, ERA Director General, comments: “The appointment of Jasmin Bajić, Valter Fernandes and Patrick Edmond to the ERA Board further increases the knowledge and experience of an already strong, influential and effective board. The diverse industry knowledge that ERA’s board members bring to the association is invaluable and I am looking forward to working with them all to continue our work on promoting a healthy, safe and growing European airline market.”
Jasmin Bajić, President & CEO of Croatia Airlines, comments: “I am honoured to be elected to the ERA Board. This election constitutes a special business mission and challenge for me on top of my 23-year long professional career in aviation. I strongly believe that my new role on the ERA Board will bring benefits for the whole ERA community, as I will continue to work wholeheartedly for the success of the regional aviation sector.”
Valter Fernandes, Managing Director of TAP express operated by Portugália Airlines, comments: “I am honoured to have recently been elected. Companies that operate short- and medium-haul routes have a valuable role to play towards the growth and sustainable success of regional economies and in connecting local communities. ERA has a critical role to play within this environment by uniting aviation peers towards common goals. These companies would otherwise just be market competitors. I’m delighted to be able to contribute to this endeavour.”
Patrick Edmond, Managing Director, International Aviation Services Centre and Strategy Director, Shannon Group comments: “ERA enables and encourages co-operation between European regional airlines and airports, helping to connect regions and drive regional economic development, and I’m honoured to have been elected to its Board.”
