Corsair will double its fleet, should potential investors Germany's Intro Aviation Group and the US investment fund Crestline successfully acquire the French airline from the TUI Group.

Corsair, which currently operates seven widebody aircraft -- three B747s and four A330s -- is expected to double its fleet under the new owners, to one composed of mainly A330neos. The first of up to 14 A330-900s would arrive in 2020, replacing two B747s. The carrier intends to operate A330s as well.

The result of the sale is on track for mid-January 2019.
