Frankfurt, 30 December 2019 - In summer 2020, the leisure airline Condor will take off from Berlin-Schönefeld (SXF) to its most popular summer destinations around the Mediterranean. With an Airbus A320 stationed in Berlin, Germany's most popular leisure airline will return to the capital. Together with Leipzig/Halle Airport, where Condor has the largest number of passengers among the airlines, Condor will then fly from the two major airports in the east of the Federal Republic.

Ralf Teckentrup, Chairman of the Condor Management Board: "We are delighted to be returning to the Airport Berlin-Schönefeld with departures from Berlin after all. The great commitment of the tour operators makes it easier to make the economic decision to offer connections to the most popular destinations of the residents of Berlin and Brandenburg. Condor will be the only airline offering flights from Berlin to the popular island of Samos in the Aegean. With the return to Berlin, the leisure airline Condor will be represented at all major airports".

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, CEO of the Airport Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: "Condor is Germany's traditional airline in the tourism industry. The flights to the Greek, Italian and Spanish islands, which Condor will include on its flight schedule in summer 2020, are a good addition to the connections from Schönefeld for summer 2020".
