Neu-Isenburg, December 16, 2022 - Ready for delivery: Today, Friday, the first Condor A330-900neo took off for its Customer Acceptance Flight. With representatives from Airbus and Condor, the aircraft took off from Aéroport Toulouse Blagnac at around 10 a.m. today. The flight, which lasted around two hours, went successfully and according to plan, so that delivery can be expected at the beginning of next week. The first passenger flight of the new aircraft in the color "Island" under registration D-ANRA is scheduled for this year to Mauritius.
The original schedule for the aircraft had to be pushed back earlier this week due to repairs following damage to the right winglet. With the completion of the work on the wing tip and after extensive tests and measurements, the aircraft could be accepted by the customer Condor today. The Customer Acceptance Flight serves to evaluate and verify the aircraft and its functions prior to the final change of ownership and thus delivery.
Further A330neo deliveries in the coming weeks
A total of 18 factory-new A330-900neo aircraft will join the Condor fleet by 2024. They will replace the current long-haul fleet, consisting of Boeing 767s, which are gradually being replaced by the much more efficient and quieter Airbus models. The second aircraft is also expected later this year.
