Collins Aerospace is expanding its longstanding support agreement for Air China's aircraft fleet to include next-generation Boeing and Airbus aircraft and additional aircraft systems. The new agreement signed with Ameco - a leading aircraft maintenance and engineering cooperation that supports Air China's fleet - builds on the existing support agreement for avionics onboard all of the airline's Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

Under the newly expanded power by the hour program, Collins Aerospace will support Air China's next-generation platforms, along with its existing aircraft. In addition to Air China's avionics, Collins Aerospace will also support the sensors and fire protection equipment onboard Air China's fleet. With the performance-based contract, Air China will receive OEM-quality repairs, parts and upgrades which provides confidence in the safety and reliability of Air China's aircraft.

'This contract expansion demonstrates the trusting and successful relationship between Air China and Collins Aerospace,' said Craig Bries, vice president and general manager, Avionics Service and Support for Collins Aerospace. 'By working together with Ameco, we will reduce Air China's operational risk, maximize its reliability and most importantly, keep its fleet flying safely.'

Mr. Chen Lun, CEO of Ameco, adds, 'This contract is the result of significant strategic cooperation between Collins Aerospace, Air China and Ameco. As we know, the COVID-19 pandemic lead to a complex market situation and we sincerely hope this agreement can provide increased safety, cost savings and the necessary support for Air China's fleet. We look forward to working together throughout the next ten years.'

Collins Aerospace, Ameco and Air China have more than a decade of experience working together under previous maintenance agreements.
