Cobalt announces the arrival of the sixth aircraft that will complement Cobalt’s fleet and offer its customers an expanded choice of destinations.

The Α320-232 aircraft that has been placed on the Cyprus aircraft register as 5B-DDC is bearing Cobalt's colors, logo and the Cypriot flag and is expected to start commercial flights shortly in order to satisfy the increasing traffic demand to and from Cyprus.

The new aircraft is expected to land in Larnaca airport the first week of May and enter the flight schedule one week later. In the mid-May will be ready for its first commercial flight.
Cobalt’s new aircraft brings more choices to customers, helps retain Cyprus’ significant aviation skills base and contributes radically to the tourism industry. As an island, Cyprus is critically dependent on a strong aviation sector.

The new Airbus 320-232 is the second aircraft to join the Cobalt fleet under lease from the world leader in commercial aviation financial services GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

Cobalt’s vision is to make Cyprus an all-year tourist destination and a regional air transport hub.

By constantly adding aircraft to its fleet, Cobalt fulfils its commitment to broaden and expand its network and offer travelers new popular destinations served directly from Cyprus.
