China Southern Airlines, one of the largest airlines in China, has taken delivery of its first A321neo and first in-service in China. The airline currently operates 303* Airbus aircraft including 253 A320 Family aircraft (including 7 A320neos), 45 A330 Family aircraft and five A380s.
Powered by Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan™ engine, China Southern's A321neo aircraft features a comfortable three-class cabin layout, (4 business, 24 premium economy and 167 economy class seats). The airline will operate the new aircraft on its domestic and international routes.
The A320neo Family incorporates the very latest technologies including new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver more than 15 percent fuel savings at entry into service and up to 20 percent by 2020. With more than 6,000 orders received from over 90 customers since its launch in 2010, the A320neo Family has captured some 60 percent market share.
