Centrus Aviation Capital closes the lease of an A320 to Bamboo Airways
Centrus Aviation Capital Ltd (CACL) is pleased to announce that it has successfully closed the lease of a 2009 vintage A320 aircraft to Bamboo Airways in Vietnam.
CACL sourced the airline as a new lessee on behalf of the aircraft owner and structured and arranged a six year lease which commenced on 30th September 2019.
CACL advised the aircraft owner in respect of the successful transition of the aircraft from its original owner and from the original operator to Bamboo Airways and managed this process which involved a number of aircraft modification required to register the aircraft with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
Bamboo Airways is a new start airline that commenced commercial operations in January 2019 which was established and capitalised by its parent FLC Group, a substantial conglomerate in Vietnam with interests in Real Estate, Finance, Mining, Hotels and Resorts. The aircraft subject of the lease has now entered commercial service with Bamboo which currently has a fleet of 13 A319, A320 and A321 aircraft with orders with Boeing for B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft and Airbus for A321 Neo aircraft. The airline currently operates 19 domestic routes to 15 destinations.
