Sabena technics extends its existing contract with Cebu Pacific, the largest carrier in the Philippines, by an additional five years for Component Support of its fleet of ATR aircraft.
Founded in 1996, Cebu Pacific is one of the oldest budget or low-cost carriers in Asia. Its subsidiary, Cebgo, uses the fleet of ATR aircraft for inter-island routes where jet operations are not possible. Cebu Pacific currently has a fleet of eight (8) ATR 72-500 and 13 ATR 72-600 aircraft.

Our ATR fleet is integral to expanding our network within the Philippine archipelago, and it is imperative we have partners who can adapt to our operating imperatives” said Michael Szucs, Chief Executive Adviser at Cebu Pacific.
Cebu Pacific and the French MRO signed the initial contract in 2014 which covered a wide range of solutions including pool access, repair and overhaul of rotable components together with propellers option, as well as the replenishment of consignment stock. Support for the airline came from the Sabena technics’ warehouse in Singapore, with further backing from facilities in Dinard (France).

Additionally, Sabena technics keeps expanding its MRO capability to provide extensive services to its customers. These include the development of its Singapore Component facility and an enlarged, dedicated support team in the upscaling Asia Pacific region. The proximity of its Singapore hub ascertains availability alongside tailor-made solutions which validate dynamism and flexibility in delivering services.
