Castlelake, L.P. ("Castlelake"), a global alternative investment firm with 17 years of experience investing in, financing, and managing aviation assets, today announced the completion of an agreement to lease eight A320neo aircraft with InterGlobe Aviation Limited (“IndiGo”). The aircraft have been acquired by an Irish subsidiary of Castlelake Aviation Limited.

IndiGo is a leading low-cost carrier based in India and is currently the largest airline in the country. Operating more than 290 aircraft, the airline offers an extensive domestic network and provides international services connecting a total of 102 destinations.

Since the firm’s inception in 2005, Castlelake has invested over $17 billion in aviation opportunities and has acquired more than 650 aircraft and developed relationships with approximately 200 airline partners. Recent activity includes a sale-leaseback with Scoot, a Singapore-based low-cost carrier; the completion of two transactions totaling $100 million through its Aviation Lending program; and the close of the firm’s fourth aviation fund, Castlelake Aviation IV Stable Yield L.P., at $1.5 billion.
