Paris, Amstelveen, 12 July 2018 - EPCOR, the AFI KLM E&M subsidiary specializing in MRO solutions for pneumatic systems and Auxiliary Power Units (APU), has announced the signature of a new contract with existing client El Al. The official stamp was put on the contract at a ceremony in Tel Aviv on 19 June. The agreement covers maintenance for 16 type APS5000 APUs equipping the Israeli carrier's fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The multi-year contract includes the leasing of spare APU, when needed during shop visit of removed APU.
This is not the first time that El Al has called on EPCOR expertise. The AFI KLM E&M subsidiary has maintained El Al's type GTCP311-500 APUs for a number of years For El Al's fleet of Boeing 777, as well as some of its Air Cycle Machines (ACMs).
Minimal impact on operations
El Al VP Engineering and Maintenance, Mr. Yossef Barazani said: "We have always appreciated the service quality delivered by EPCOR in the past. We therefore chose them to handle support for our APS5000 APUs." The APS5000 is a latest-generation product for which EPCOR offers what is undoubtedly the best quality of support worldwide, and we will do our utmost to prove it once again in the service of El Al's fleet of 787s."
