On June 29, 2018 Embraer-195 aircraft from the aircraft plant (São José dos Campos, Brazil) has landed at National Airport Minsk in new Belavia livery.

The aircraft arrived within the framework of the agreement signed between Belavia – Belarusian Airlines and Brazilian aerospace conglomerate Embraer at the 52nd Paris Air Show on June 20, 2017. In accordance with this agreement, Embraer-175 arrived in Minsk in April, and Embraer-195 – in May.

All aircrafts are delivered directly from the aircraft plant. Belavia – Belarusian Airlines has acquired the title to these aircraft on account of loan funds provided by Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus and Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES).

The third phase of the implementation of the large-scale investment project for the Airlines fleet renewal was completed with the third Embraer aircraft delivery in 2018. Its implementation within 2014-2018 has enabled the Airlines to acquire the title to eight present-day high-performance aircraft – three Boeing 737-800 and five Embraer-175/195 airplanes. This has led to the significant rejuvenation of Belavia-Belarusian Airlines air fleet. Currently, the average age is 14 years.

The arrived Embraer-195 is configured to carry up to 107 passengers with 11 business class seats and 96 economy class seats.

The present-day Embraer-195 aircraft cater to the Airlines needs for intensive passenger flow growth, allow for increasing the frequency of scheduled flights on the existing routes, opening new routes, and enable Minsk to become an attractive transit hub (hub). The cabin design concept ensures maximum comfort for passengers, thanks to the 2+2 seat configuration in the economy class and 2+1 in the business class section. Embraer-195 represents the business class type with rigid partition and increased space between seats.

The newly acquired airplane is planned to be used on almost all the routes of the Belarusian Airlines network.

The aircraft of Embraer family are fully consistent with the Belavia’s goals to further develop the route network and lower the cost of transportation. This aircraft type has high fuel efficiency.
