This week, Belavia-Belarusian Airlines and Emirates implemented a number of bilateral commercial agreements. At the moment, interline, electronic interline and special prorate agreements have been signed between the carriers.
These agreements enable the partner carriers to accept and issue tickets on eligible segments of each other.
According to the signed agreements, passengers will be able to purchase a complicated route with one ticket with two carriers involved in the routing. Starting from July 26, passengers of Belavia and Emirates Airlines will be able to travel between Minsk and Dubai via various transfer points: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Istanbul, Paris and Frankfurt.
"Due to such cooperation between airlines, passengers will be able to buy a single ticket for the flights of two different carriers. This would also let both carriers to suggest the most convenient connections and the most attractive ticket price, which eventually will contribute into a more comfortable journey, "said Anatoly Gusarov, Director General of Belavia Airlines.
Egor Plakhov, Emirates’ Regional Manager Commercial Operations Europe & Russian Federation said “We are pleased to be announcing this partnership with Belavia and offering travelers from Minsk a more convenient way to connect to the Emirates route network, and experience our award winning product and service. To date, Emirates Airlines is the fourth Gulf carrier to have commercial partnership with "Belavia".
