KUALA LUMPUR, 21 November 2023 - Batik Air is delighted to announce the launch of a direct A330 flight from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Melbourne (MEL), on December 20, 2023.
The seasonal flight schedule, available up to February 6, 2024, caters to the rising demand for travel to Australia during the peak holiday and travel season. This service will be utilising the latest Batik Air modern wide body A330 fleet, ensuring an exceptional travel experience for passengers.
Flight OD 175 takes off from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) four times per week - every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6:20 pm, arriving at MEL at 5:15 am (local time) the following day, ensuring that passengers can choose a schedule that best suits their needs.
Meanwhile, the return flight, OD 176, operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from MEL at 6:45 am (local time) and arriving in KUL at 12:10 pm.
Melbourne, renowned for its delectable cuisine, thriving theater scene, and coffee culture, is a favoured Australian destination. This culturally rich and sports-loving capital city offers an abundance of entertainment options, ensuring visitors will be captivated throughout their stay.
Melbourne serves as a prominent Australian VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) travel hub, earning its place in Batik Air's expanding portfolio, which includes other major cities like Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Batik Air also provides direct flights connecting Kuala Lumpur to Adelaide and Perth. Moreover, Batik Air serves Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth via Denpasar. Additionally, Batik Air operates to Auckland via Perth.

To commemorate this, Batik Air is offering special promotional fares starting from RM899, all- inclusive one-way Economy Class tickets and RM5,299 for Business Class. The sales period commences immediately up to December 10, 2023, for travel between December 20 to December 30, 2023.
