Bamboo Airways plans to begin selling tickets from 02 September, ahead of its first flight set for 10 October 2018.

The CAA of Vietnam is still evaluating the AOC application of the planned airline.

Bamboo Airways also increased its charter capital by US$26 million to over $56 million, following a fresh infusion. The decision to increase the capital was made after the government approved the carrier's investment policy at Phu Cat Airport.

The carrier is expected to buy 24 A320neos and 20 B787-9s valued at $8.6 billion at list prices.

Bamboo, owned by FLC Group, will launch operations as a hybrid carrier.
