On July 29, 2022, Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company announced a resolution on electing Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan to hold the position of CEO of the Company from July 27, 2022.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan held a PhD in economics from University of Transport and Communications, and graduated from Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Administration with an advanced degree in political theory.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan has held the position of Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways since June 2020. Since September 2020, he has held the position of Executive Deputy General Director of the Company until now. Previously, he had 30 years of working experience in large Vietnamese agencies and enterprises in the fields of aviation, services, commerce, etc., such as the Ministry of Trade, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Noi Bai Aviation Service Joint Stock Company, Thien Minh Aviation Joint Stock Company, Vinpearl Company, etc.
Also on July 29, Bamboo Airways announced its decision to stop holding the position of CEO from July 27 for Mr. Dang Tat Thang. Since its establishment in 2017, under the leadership of Mr. Dang Tat Thang, Bamboo Airways has accomplished many great achievements in operation, business and service provision such as: Obtaining the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate in the first year of operation; Being the first private airline to operate a chain of First Lounges at key airports; Being the first private airline to operate wide-body aircraft and regional jets; Deploying many first nonstop routes in history, connecting emerging tourist destinations such as Con Dao, Rach Gia, Dien Bien,…; Establishing the first international 5-star airline service orientation in Vietnam; Having the highest rate of on-time flight in the industry for 3 consecutive years and an absolute safety rate of 100%; …, thereby strongly contributing to the socio-economic development of the destinations and maximizing benefits for customers.

The position transfer of Bamboo Airways’ CEO from Mr. Dang Tat Thang to Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan is part of the senior management personnel consolidation, in order to meet the goal of accelerating the process of restructuring and selecting of strategic investors of FLC Group in general and Bamboo Airways in particular. This will create a solid foundation for Bamboo Airways to move faster and more sustainably towards long-term development goals in the new period.
