Azur Air has filed an application to Rosaviatsiya to remove the limitations on the validity period of its operator's certificate, as reported in a statement on the airline’s website.
"On February 14, Azur Air filed an application to Rosaviatsiya to remove the limitations to the validity period of its operator's certificate, accompanied by a package of documents confirming the elimination of the violations, identified by Rosaviatsiya, which had caused the introduction of the restrictive measures”, said the statement.
Earlier it had been reported that Rosaviatsiya had limited the validity of Azur Air’s certificate.
The department had noted that, if Azur Air does not correct all the violations, then on March 21st the airline must stop flying.
