Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency has removed the AOC restrictions it placed on Azur Air, allowing the airline to continue to operate after March 20, as all inconsistencies previously identified were eliminated.

The carrier is fully prepared to continue its operations, and is now finalizing preparations for the spring-summer season. In addition, Azur Air plans to increase its fleet.

Along with the reissuance of its AOC, the carrier announced the appointment of Yuri Stogniy as its new CEO, effective March 14, 2018. From April 2016 to March 2018 he was CEO of Turuhan Airlines, which belongs to UTair group.

AZUR air also decided to start the procedures to transfer a significant amount of its aircraft to the national registry, beginning with two B767-300s, scheduled for delivery during spring 2018. Total aircraft planned to be transferred for the current year is 10 planes.

Today, almost all its foreign manufactured aircraft are registered in Bermudian or Irish jusrisdictions.
