Azul signs for Safran services on its A330 jetliner thrust reversers
Safran Nacelles today signed a contract with Azul to provide repair services and spares pool resources for thrust reversers that equip the airline’s Airbus A330 jetliner fleet powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.
With this long-term agreement, Azul will have access to Safran Nacelles’ global stock of Trent 700 thrust reversers. The Brazilian airline also will benefit from OEM*-guaranteed maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) solutions at Safran Nacelles repair stations, with the goal of providing optimal and tailored-made support to Azul.
“We are fully committed to delivering services that meet Azul’s needs, which will benefit from the NacelleLifeTM coverage,” stated Olivier Savin, Safran Nacelles’ Executive Vice President - Customer Support & Services. “The airline can count on our OEM expertise with the Trent 700 thrust reverser and our proximity.”
“We have chosen to establish trust-based working relationships with OEMs such as Safran Nacelles because of their ability to provide solutions, along with very high levels of services and support quality,” explained Leonardo Zerbone, Azul´s Supply Chain General Manager.
The NacelleLifeTM service package offers airlines and lessors a maintenance service adapted to their most specific requirements for one or all steps in the lifecycle of their fleets – from pre-entry into service for an aircraft until it is withdrawn from, or returned, to operation.
During the MRO Americas conference and exhibition, Safran Nacelles is present on the Safran booth (no. 2617) from April 9 to 11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
