Avianca and Singapore Airlines Sign a Codeshare Agreement
Bogota, August 15, 2017. Avianca (AV) and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed a codeshare agreement that will allow both airlines to codeshare their flights from and to Barcelona (BCN) and London (LHN) as of September 2017.
With this new agreement, Avianca’s travelers will have more options to connect to the city-state of Singapore, located in Southeast Asia, from where they will be able to fly to dozens of destinations, mainly in Asia, operated from Changui International Airport, the airline’s main hub.
Avianca will include its ‘AV’ code on flights operated by Singapore Airlines on the LHN – SIN – LHN and BCN – SIN – BCN routes. Likewise, the Asian airline will add its ‘SQ’ code to flights operated by Avianca on the LHN – BOG – LHN and BCN – BOG flights.
The sale of codeshare flights will be available as of middle of August 2017 for travel dates from September 2017 and thereafter. Travelers may earn miles on their respective frequent flyer programs on these flights: KrisFlyer for Singapore Airlines and LifeMiles for Avianca.
