Aviall Signs Multi-Year Consumables and Expendables Parts Supply Chain Program Agreement with Etihad Airways Engineering

Boeing today announced, through its subsidiary Aviall, a multi-year consumables and expendables aircraft parts supply chain program agreement with Etihad Airways Engineering. The agreement expands Aviall's offerings to include full supply chain spectrum support, including forecasting, planning, advanced provisioning and supply chain administration.

Parts associated with this agreement include Boeing proprietary and Aviall-sourced parts used on Boeing and Airbus commercial aircraft.

"Aviall is excited to work closely with Etihad through this supply chain program agreement," said Aviall President and CEO Eric Strafel. "Customer-inspired innovation is at the forefront of our company's service strategy. Developing key value-adding solutions, such as this program, will create greater supply chain connectivity and increase operational optimization for our customers and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners."

"As the leading MRO in the Middle East, Etihad Airways Engineering sees partnerships with leading suppliers as an integral part of our development. This contract with Aviall is part of a strategy to continue to drive the company forward as a leading global maintenance provider," said Jeff Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways Engineering. "It facilitates the planned growth of Etihad Airways Engineering's airframe and component services maintenance capabilities, and is an extension to our growing cooperation with Boeing. The contract is intended to grow further with the inclusion of more Boeing proprietary parts and the maturing Boeing 777 and 787 maintenance business in Abu Dhabi."

Aviall operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting both commercial and defense business units within Boeing. Aviall is a leading solutions provider of aftermarket supply-chain management services for the aerospace and defense industries.

Headquartered in Dallas, Aviall is the world's largest provider of new aviation parts and related aftermarket services. The company markets and distributes products for more than 240 manufacturers and offers approximately 2 million catalog items from 40 customer service centers in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

From July 1, Aviall will be part of Boeing Global Services, a new dedicated services business focused on the needs of global defense, space and commercial customers.
