Austrian Airlines Supervisory Board appoints Annette Mann as new CEO
• Six-member committee confirms new leadership and determines division of responsibilities
• As of 1 March, Annette Mann will take over all CEO and CFO agendas

After the nomination by the Lufthansa Group Executive Board at the end of 2021, the Austrian Airlines Supervisory Board has now appointed Annette Mann as the new CEO/CFO of the Austrian home carrier. With the assumption of the CEO and CFO departments in personal union, Annette Mann completes the three-strong Austrian Airlines Executive Board. The previous division of agendas is thus retained and also puts the area of finance under the responsibility of the CEO.
Annette Mann, previously Head of Corporate Responsibility for the entire Lufthansa Group, will be moving to Austrian Airlines on 1 March. She completes the team with the two acting board members CCO Michael Trestl and COO Francesco Sciortino. "I'm looking forward to my new task in Vienna with great enthusiasm and look forward to working with my two colleagues, the entire team and to the Austrian team spirit that is well known throughout the group," says future CEO Annette Mann.
The six members of the supervisory board express their appreciation to the two board members, Michael Trestl and Francesco Sciortino, for the smooth transition period. All the prerequisites for a good start for Annette Mann are therefore in place. With Annette Mann, Austrian Airlines will have a top manager with broad expertise at its helm. Annette Mann (44) brings with her a wide range of management experience, which she has gained over the past 18 years in various strategic, conceptual and operational roles within the Lufthansa Group. The business economist, who grew up in Simbach, on the Austrian border, was most recently responsible for the Corporate Responsibility department and in this function was responsible for the further development, management and implementation of a holistic and group-wide sustainability program. Annette Mann previously held various management positions in the Lufthansa Group. For example, she headed product management at SWISS in Zurich. At the same time, she was responsible for the inflight & customer services of the network airlines and co-negotiated the LSG part sale. In addition, Annette Mann was chairwoman of the advisory board of the Lufthansa InTouch service center group until the end of 2020. She currently sits on the Swiss Aviation Foundation for Lufthansa, is on the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa CityLine and is Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Help Alliance gGmbH.
