Austrian Airlines flies normally again from London and to Tel Aviv
- Landing ban for passenger flights from the United Kingdom expired
- Ben Gurion Airport open, entry restrictions to Israel eased
- Austrian Airlines resumes normal service to both destinations as of today
The Austrian government’s landing ban for passenger flights from the United Kingdom expired yesterday. Austrian Airlines is therefore flying normally again between London and Vienna as of today. Previously, Austria's home carrier flew with passengers to the metropolis on the Thames, but without passengers back to Vienna due to the landing ban. As of today, London is once again on offer in both directions with up to two daily flights.
In addition, Austrian Airlines is again connecting Vienna with Tel Aviv with up to one daily flight as of today. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, air traffic to Israel was not possible or only possible with severe restrictions for a longer period of time. Now that Ben Gurion Airport has reopened and entry restrictions have been eased, Austrian Airlines can resume its service.
