On November 7th, Ameco and Asiana Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Ameco will provide Asiana Airlines with MRO services covering line maintenance and release, component repair and V2500 engine overhaul, etc.

Mr. Bin Teng, general manager of Marketing & Sales of Ameco, and Mr. Hojin Kwak, deputy general manager of Maintenance Administration of Asiana Airlines ink the MoU on behalf of both parties.

In this June, Ameco and Asiana Airlines singed a five-year contract for engine services. The Korean carrier contracted Ameco for repair and overhaul for over forty V2500 engines.

As the partner of Asiana Airlines since 1990s, Ameco provides services in the field of engine, airframe, and line maintenance. This MoU is an extension of the contract on V2500 engine overhaul, and will further strengthen both sides partnership and lay a basis for cooperation in the extensive areas for Ameco, Air China and Asiana Airlines.

Ameco keeps offering the comprehensive and one-stop MRO services for customers at home and abroad. Ameco acquired the MRO ability on V2500 in 2015, and has the approvals of CAAC, FAA and EASA to conduct overhaul and modification services on this type. In the same year, Ameco became a Pratt-Whitney approved V2500 repair station to serve the global customers. The newly upgraded V2500 engine overhaul workshop will be put into use from this November, which can accommodate six engines for disassembly, balance and assembly. It enables V2500 engine overhaul capacity to increase by 70%.
