Miami, January 10, 2018 – The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announced today that Latin America and Caribbean airlines carried 20.6 million passengers in November, up 4.4% - or 872,320 more passengers - from the previous year. Traffic (RPK) grew 6.7% and capacity (ASK) increased 5.7%, bringing up the load factor to 82.6%, 0.8 percentage points higher than in November 2016.

Latin America and Caribbean airlines carried 2.05 million passengers to and from Latin America and the Caribbean in November, up 13.8% from the previous year (see table 2). Traffic (RPK) grew 12.1% and capacity (ASK) increased 14.3%, bringing the load factor to 82.2%, equivalent to 1.6 percentage points lower than in November 2016.
