Panama, January 22, 2019 - With the objective of continuing strengthening partnerships within the aviation industry, the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) and Hermes Air Transport Organisation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will promote areas of mutual cooperation for the development of the aviation industry.

Under this agreement, ALTA and Hermes will share information and best practices, enhance participation in joint activities and initiatives for the benefit of the members of both organizations.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Executive Director of ALTA, comments: "Working hand in hand in common objectives will allow both associations to redouble our efforts to demonstrate the value of aviation for the economic and social development of the countries and to continue extending the benefits of this industry for the region. Through the exchange of information and best practices, we hope to provide more value to the members of both organizations and strengthen ties so that aviation reaches its full potential as an economic and social engine".

Dr. Kostas Iatrou, Director General of Hermes, comments: "It is a great pleasure that we signed the agreement with ALTA as it will give us the opportunity to enhance the cooperation with ALTA members, an important dynamic and with high potential region".

Hermes Air Transport Organisation aims to provide a global forum for the networking and exchange of ideas; contribute to the development of global air transport and develop value added strategies for the aviation industry stakeholders.
