Albastar Has Successfully Completed The IOSA Audit

Palma de Mallorca, 12.06.19 - Albastar S.A., the Spanish charter airline headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, is proud to announce that it has successfully completed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), the benchmark for global safety management in airlines.

Albastar S.A. was registered and joined the IOSA’s Registry on 22nd May 2019, this reinforces the reflective significance of the company’s spirit to continue with exceptional standards within aviation and the result reflects the commitment of management to implement and strictly adhere to a safety-first policy.

The audit covers approximately 1,000 standards and recommended practices that are all related to the safety of operations and procedures of the airline.

Albastar operates with six Boeing 737 aircraft (four B737-800NG aircraft and two B737-400 aircraft) from its principal bases in Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Milan Malpensa and Milano Bergamo, Italy.

The airline serves the charter market for some of Europe’s leading Tour Operators and has also become the European leading pilgrimage airline serving Lourdes, France. Founded in 2010 by a group of Italian and UK private investors the airline has enjoyed a very successful growth and today serves over 130 destinations in Europe, Israel and Egypt, some 45 destinations just from Lourdes.
