WEST SUSSEX, UK, November 1st, 2022, AJW Group, a world-leading independent aircraft component parts, repair, and supply chain solutions provider, is pleased to announce the extension of a power-by-the-hour (PBH) support contract with Brazilian cargo operator Modern Logistics.
The support contract providing full power-the-hour services for B737CL freighters, has been in operation since 2017 and was the first PBH contract for AJW in Brazil. Since 2017, AJW has become the supplier of choice for airlines across the South American region, reinforced by the recent signing of Chilean ultra-low-cost carrier, JetSMART Airlines SpA, with its rapidly expanding fleet of A320 ceo and neo aircraft, and the Caribbean’s first ultra-low-cost airline, Arajet S.A., and its growing fleet of LEAP powered B737 MAX aircraft.
Earlier this year, AJW Group was recognised as one of the top suppliers in the region during the ALTA CCMA & MRO Conference, and the Group recently announced its commitment to capability expansions in the Americas by joining the prestigious Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) as an affiliate member. The agreement means partnering and problem solving as a community with the ALTA member airlines and service providers in unison, as well as bringing extensive technical expertise.
The contract extension with Modern Logistics underlines the outstanding value for money and excellent customer service that is embodied within this PBH agreement. AJW has a global fleet of over 1,000 aircraft under contract providing wide and flexible component coverage, world-class logistics, and expert advice and recommendations on minimising home base stock requirements. Serving a global customer base of more than 1,000 airlines in over 100 different countries, AJW is the ideal partner for airlines and MRO organisations requiring fully integrated support solutions to help achieve competitive advantage.
Erik Fernando de Souza, Purchasing Manager, Modern Logistics, comments:
"We are delighted to extend our support contract with AJW. We originally chose AJW because of its breadth and technical expertise as well as high response levels via 24/7 AOG service. Also important is the fair market value for the parts that we lease. Modern Logistics is the pre-eminent cargo operator in Brazil, serving a key market where dangerous and special goods need to be transported by air due to infrastructure gaps."
David Shorter, Head of PBH, AJW Group, comments:
“We are pleased to extend our power-by-the-hour contract with Modern Logistics and are proud that AJW Technique, AJW Group’s flagship maintenance facility in Montreal, is the trusted provider of component repair services. In conjunction with strategic partners across our supply chain, the contract will continue to ensure an exceptional end-to-end customer experience for Modern Logistics.“
