15 March, 2018 – AJW Group has secured a power-by-the-hour (PBH) contract with new Argentinian low-cost carrier, Flybondi.

The long-term contract, which covers their rapidly expanding fleet of B737-800 aircraft, will see AJW use its industry-leading expertise to manage the complete supply, repair and overhaul of Flybondi’s rotable components. This will ensure that Flybondi's customers benefit from improved efficiency thanks to AJW’s streamlined supply chain management.

Flybondi, based in Buenos Aires and Cordoba, is the first low-cost carrier in Argentina. Launched earlier this year, the airline will operate across 85 domestic and international routes. It is run according to an agile business model which is focused on continuous improvement and optimization of processes, alongside driving new innovations in the aviation industry.

Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO of AJW Group, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this new PBH contract with Flybondi. The carrier will be going through a prolonged phase of growth with the acquisition of new aircraft and team members. During this time, the unrivalled experience of AJW’s team and the exceptionally high standards our technicians deliver, will be instrumental in supporting Flybondi.com with that growth.

“For AJW Group, the contract is a great step forward in bolstering our presence in Latin America and we look forward to improving efficiency and offering cost-savings to additional carriers in the region.”

Julian Cook, CEO of Flybondi, said: “As a company focused on optimizing our processes to ensure success, this new partnership with AJW Group will see us united in our mutual values.

“The long-term contract will enable AJW to revolutionize our processes and provide the efficiency for our customers that we, as Argentina’s first low-cost carrier, pride ourselves on.”
