AJW Group, the world-leading independent specialist in the global management of aircraft spares, has today announced the appointment of Barry Swift as Group Director of Procurement.

Swift, who joined the business on 1st April 2019, will be accountable for leading and coordinating Procurement activities across AJW Group.

He will use his extensive and diverse supply chain experience to continue to drive the business’s best practice in relation to Procurement strategy and activities. Barry’s expertise in managing diverse vendor relationships will complement AJW’s lean strategy and benefit AJW’s contracted services to airlines around the world.

Prior to joining AJW Group, Swift held the position of UK Procurement Director for the Thales Defence Missions Systems business. He has also previously held Procurement and Supply Chain at Crowcon Detection Instruments, Dyson, Delphi Technologies and Jaguar Land Rover.

Swift will be based at AJW’s Headquarters in Slinfold, West Sussex, and will report directly to Chief Operating Officer of AJW Group, Gavin Simmonds.
