Mexico City, July 5, 2022.- AISG, a leading Mexico-based company specializing in commercial aircraft line maintenance, received a significant capital contribution from Discovery Americas -a private equity fund- to boost its international presence.

With the influx, AISG aims to continue its expansion throughout the Americas, improve its services portfolio and gain new customers. Today, the company performs more than 110,000 yearly operations in Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean while offering maintenance services through its European subsidiary SoTech, in the Dominican Republic, Argentina, and Paraguay.

The investment is expected to boost the company’s growth in the American, Canadian, and Latin American markets allowing it to double its size in the forthcoming years. The capital injection was performed based on expectations of rising demand for air transportation in the upcoming years.

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Latin America and the Caribbean are the regions that have shown the fastest recovery rate after the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition, the number of travelers worldwide in 2024 is expected to be 103% higher than those registered in 2019.

Discovery Americas has an extensive experience in the aviation sector, being involved in the industry for over18 years. It has supported the business plans of airlines such as Volaris and mas (formerly MasAir).
