Riga. In May 2017, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried 316 915 passengers or 20% more than in the same period of 2016 throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first five months of 2017, airBaltic has transported a total of 1 193 243 passengers.

In May the airline operated 4 532 flights, which is a 14% increase compared to the same period of 2016. During the first five months of 2017 the airline has operated a total of 18 735 flights.

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was at a level of 75% in May, 2017. During the first five months of 2017, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 71%.

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 89,6% in May, 2017. This means that more than 89 of every 100 airBaltic flights in May departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.

This summer, airBaltic adds 13 new routes to its network, including destinations like Madrid, Geneva, Aberdeen, Tampere, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Kazan, Catania and Liepaja.
