BANGKOK, 25 February 2020 - AirAsia Thailand (FD), a low cost carrier of the AirAsia Group, has completed its Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) by the International Air Transportation (IATA) affirming its world-class safety standards.

AirAsia Thailand is the sixth airline in AirAsia Group to become IOSA registered following AirAsia X Thailand in December 2018, AirAsia Philippines in November 2018, AirAsia Malaysia in September 2018, AirAsia Indonesia in August 2018 and AirAsia X (Malaysia) in 2015.

The IOSA registration process covers eight key areas, namely; corporate organisation and management systems, flight operations, operational control - flight dispatch, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling, cargo operations and operational security.

CEO of AirAsia Thailand Santisuk Klongchaiya, remarked that AirAsia Thailand’s passing of the IOSA certification is an affirmation of the commitment and importance its team devotes to safety, assuring that the carrier will continue to work diligently to adhere to the highest safety standards in all of its operations.

The IOSA, or Operational Safety Audit, is carried out by IATA, an globally recognized inspection and evaluation agency of the operation, management and standards of aviation businesses. Find more details at www.iata.org
