Air Valletta Group, backed by private Cypriot investment has launched A320 and A330 operator Valletta Airlines (St. Julian’s, Malta), which will focus on global charter and ACMI markets starting early 2023. Targeted regions for operations are North and South Americas, Europe, Middle East and Far East Asia.

Valletta Airlines currently working towards its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and aims to start with one Airbus A320-200, with plans to grow it’s fleet to three Airbus A320-200 and two A330-200 by the end of 2023.

The ACMI and Charter markets are rebounding and pushing demand for new aircraft as more and more airlines try to provide expanded capacity for the snowballing numbers of passengers. Valletta Airlines is expected to capture current market situation and provide services for the airlines and tour operators to increase capacity without incurring financial burdens.
