On 1 July, with Belgrade-Milan flight, Air Serbia will begin recommencing air transport to its destinations in Italy. Flights to Rome will be reintroduced on 2 July, and Venice will again make its way to the Serbian national airline’s flight schedule a day later. Air Serbia will be the first airline to re-establish flights between Serbia and Italy once all restrictions are lifted, which will again confirm the great importance of the Italian market, both for our country, and for the national airline, which has been operating flights to the Italian Peninsula since the 50s of the last century.

“We are pleased to recommence flights to Italy, which is traditionally one of our key markets for Serbia, due to the numerous factors that connect two countries, including strong economic cooperation, tourism, diaspora and trade,” said Duncan Naysmith, CEO of Air Serbia.

Air Serbia will operate daily flights to Milan and Rome, and three times per week to Venice, with a gradual increase in frequency. With the initial 17 flights a week and a broad network of destinations from the Serbian capital, Air Serbia will provide strong connectivity between Belgrade, Italy and other cities on the Air Serbia network. Once the flight schedule reaches its full capacity, the national airline will offer network connectivity from Italy via Belgrade to Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Kiev, Larnaca, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Tel Aviv, Tivat and other cities.
