Today, on 21 April, with flight JU594 operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, Air Serbia will establish direct flights between Belgrade and Valencia for the first time. The Serbian national airline will be operating flights to its third destination in Spain twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays during April and May, and as of early June, on Thursdays and Sundays.

The Serbian airline’s inaugural flight will be officially sent off from Nikola Tesla Belgrade Airport and welcomed at Valencia Airport, the tenth busiest airport in Spain, located eight kilometers from the city and contributing significantly to the economic development of the entire area. On that occasion, a ceremony will be held, with the attendance of Ambassador of Spain to Serbia, H.E. Raúl Bartolomé Molina, Ambassador of Serbia to Spain Katarina Lalić-Smajević, and representatives of Air Serbia and the airport.

“We are very happy to start the new expansion of our network by launching the Valencia service and strengthening our presence in Spain. We are convinced that this will contribute to better connectivity and development of commercial and tourist activities between our two countries. Spain is a traditionally interesting market for our passengers and a very popular summer holiday destination, and this is further evidenced by high demand and good load factor on flights toward all our destinations in this Mediterranean country in the coming period,” stated Boško Rupić, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Located on the Mediterranean coast, Valencia is known as a city of culture, good fun and gastronomy. As the third largest city in the Kingdom of Spain and the capital of the province bearing the same name, with a very long and rich history, Valencia offers its visitors numerous landmarks, celebrations and traditions, but also beautiful beaches and 300 sunny days a year.

The flight schedule on this route is designed to provide passengers with convenient connections to numerous cities in the Air Serbia network via Belgrade, such as Athens, Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Larnaca, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Split, Thessaloniki, Tirana and Tivat.

After Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, Air Serbia will soon launch flights to its fourth destination in Spain - Palma de Mallorca. Seasonal flights on this route will be operated from 11 June to 29 October, twice a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
