Air Serbia establishes multiple inter-company partnerships aiming to improve opportunities for passengers
Air Serbia and Aeroflot reached an agreement on expanding their existing codeshare cooperation, pursuant to which the Russian national airline would put its own flight code (marketing code) on Air Serbia flights between Belgrade and Istanbul, while the Serbian national airline would have its own marketing code on Aeroflot’s Istanbul-Moscow flights. The upgraded partnership will allow Air Serbia to offer its passengers a daily link to Moscow, combining direct flights and flights via Istanbul, starting from 23 November.
“A good partnership strategy is particularly important in the current circumstances, when our network is limited as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. In order to provide our passengers with as many options and as much flexibility as possible when planning trips, we are constantly working on improving our services and enhancing our cooperation with our partners,” stated Jiri Marek, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
During the past few months, Air Serbia has worked hard on establishing and strengthening inter-company partnerships, and signed a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines in August, which covered multiple destinations from the flight networks of both companies. In October, a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) had been signed with Belarusian airline Belavia, and this month, the Serbian national airline initiated cooperation through a loyalty program with Air Canada, allowing the passengers of the Canadian airline to use their collected miles for all flights in Air Serbia’s network.
