Air Serbia and Luxair have established a partnership by entering into a Special Prorate Agreement (SPA), after Luxembourg’s national airline commenced direct Belgrade-Luxembourg flights two times a week from 3 June. The cooperation between the Serbian and Luxembourgian national airlines will enable greater choice and better connectivity when travelling between Belgrade and Luxembourg, as well as easier access to destinations within Air Serbia’s regional network.

“Thanks to a proactive approach and quick reactions, we have managed to establish a partnership with Luxair, shortly after it introduced direct flights between Belgrade and Luxembourg. We are happy that passengers of both airlines will have greater choice and flexibility when planning their trips. We remain focused on constant improvement of our services and the expansion of cooperation with our partners,” said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

“We are delighted to develop our activity towards such a broad and important area of Eastern Europe through the cooperation with Air Serbia. At Luxair, allowing communities to meet and generate commercial and cultural exchanges is our main goal. This agreement will allow the expatriated communities resident in Luxembourg to easily reach their homeland and the Luxembourgish community to discover the beauties and the heritage of the region” said Thomas Fischer, Commercial Director at Luxair.

Thanks to this agreement, passengers of Luxair will have the opportunity to fly via Belgrade to Air Serbia’s destinations such as Athens, Banjaluka, Podgorica and Skopje. Air Serbia will enable its passengers to fly from cities in the region to Luxembourg via Belgrade, as well as the option to travel between these two cities through transit hubs such as Berlin, Vienna, Paris and Rome. Tickets under the SPA are available for purchase as of 1 July.

Luxair, the national airline of Luxembourg, was founded in 1961 and offers flights to the most relevant European cities, business centres and international hubs, with safety, quality and flexibility as its business priorities.
