Air Serbia and ITA Airways further expanded their codeshare cooperation, signed in November last year, only a month after the flights of the current Italian national airline were commenced. Thanks to the partnership upgrade, passengers will have access to more options for booking flights to destinations in the networks of the Serbian and Italian national airlines.

Air Serbia will place its JU flight code (marketing code) on additional in-country flights of ITA Airways, via Rome, to cities such as Bologna, Florence, Naples, Reggio Calabria and Verona, as well as flights to international destinations - Barcelona, Cairo, Malta and Tel Aviv. Marketing codes of the Serbian national airline are also available on ITA Airways flights via Rome to Athens, Bari, Brindisi, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Palermo, Tirana, Turin, Trieste and Venice.

In addition to routes to Milan and Rome, ITA Airways will place its marketing code on direct Air Serbia flights between Belgrade and Venice, as well as flights via the Serbian capital to Dubrovnik, Pula and Split. The marketing codes of the Italian airline are also available on Air Serbia flights to Athens, Banja Luka, Bucharest, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Sarajevo, Sofia, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Tivat and Tirana.

“We look forward to the expansion of our business relationship and further development of cooperation with ITA Airways, which has proven to be very successful so far. With the introduction of new codeshare flights, we will further contribute to the improvement and strengthening of cultural and economic ties between our countries, while providing our passengers a more attractive offer and quicker connections,” stated Boško Rupić, General Manager, Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Thanks to the improved partnership, passengers will be able to more easily reach destinations such as Malta, Cairo and Tel Aviv, which Air Serbia doesn't currently fly to. Trips to Malta are also available via Rome, thanks to the Serbian airline's partnership with Air Malta, while Cairo and Tel Aviv are accessible via Air Serbia's flights to Istanbul, through a codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines.

Flights within the expanded codeshare agreement are available for booking.
